"There is nothing like a vice or a virtue" and it has been said many a times in the Bhagavad Gita by Krishna himself. Then why do these saints keep frightening us everyday by reading out the long list of vices?
There is nothing wrong in having any kind of fancy in life or any physical act, if done appropriately. Likewise, there is no virtue in visiting temples or worshipping either. The goodness of being human lies in the qualities like compassion, self- confidence, self-dependence and innocence which are tainted by attributes like jealousy, partiality, selfishness and stubbornness.
Be it life or business, "satisfaction" is the biggest key to success. Firstly, being satisfied you don't fall back; secondly, in the absence of greed and ambitions, you do not engage yourself in mindless activities and miserably fail; and thirdly, sitting peacefully, you are able to spot the golden opportunities to grow in life.
Other than our 'mind', what is it that we have, which we can call our own? Everything else is gifted by nature and made usable by science. At the same time, if you talk of joy of mind, it lies in "art". But then it is difficult to understand that in this process, where do we feel the need for these 'so-called religions'?
Neither do we have to make the sun or moon rise nor manage gravitation. We do not even have to convert the food that we eat into blood. All that we have to do is, put our own life on the path of peace, bliss and success. Isn't it amusing that we, who claim ourselves to be so intelligent, cannot do even this bit of work?
Only he can perpetrate violence on others, who knowingly or unknowingly is torturing himself. Otherwise he, who loves himself, can never cause harm to anyone.
Since ages, there has been a nexus between the religious heads and politicians. None of them are artists or scientists. Still oppressing and creating conflicts among people, both have harboured ambitions to become big from the very beginning. It has made their union so strong that they are inseparable now.
What are the traits of an awakened person? First, his comings and goings are only as per his wish. Second, no reason of the outside world can influence him and third, whatever he is once determined to do, he breathes only when it is brought to fruition.
A religious person is...the one who accepts the responsibility for the success and failures of his life. The one who entrusts it to rituals, worship, astrology, family or friends...is irreligious.
There are many things which are difficult for any wise man to understand... Like the rewards that are bestowed by God in heaven on performing good deeds; the same when done here are condemned by the religious heads, but then who are they to condemn it?
The most wonderful and precious element of universe is the human life which can only be guided by the right knowledge and right attitude.
