Those who are ignorant of the supreme purpose of life will never be able to attain nirvana (liberation) in spite of their observance of the vratas (vows) and niyamas (rules) of religious conduct and practice of shila (celibacy) and tapas (penance).
In order to become a success, a business doesn’t just have to do well, it has to do better than its competitors. Being number one isn’t just about bragging rights. Often it means the difference between prospering and merely hanging on.
For me, meditation re-orders the natural flow of life. Everybody has a flow or stream of consciousness that allows all things to move without resistance. Decisions come easily, things fall into place, and there’s no conflict.
If there is to be a human future, we must bring ourselves into balanced relationship with one another and the Earth. This requires building economies with the heart.
